He is risen.

This weekend has been a special time of enjoying the risen, incarnate Christ. Conversations with friends (both those who believe and those who don't), and times of worship (corporate and private), have made me more thankful than ever that Jesus actually rose from the dead, with a real, physical body.

The hope of the resurrection hums through me like an electrical current, promising that one day, our redemption will be made complete-- in these bodies that like His, God has made and called good.

Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like him, like him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!
--Charles Wesley, "Christ The Lord Is Risen Today"

Thanks for this Matthew,

Good to hear someone posting something happy about Easter! No disrespect to those who didn't, but I was starting to feel depressed!

The resurrection is the victory of Christ sealed, announced and demonstrated. Brilliant.
